Margarita Moreno is a Colombian mountaineer and explorer focused on high-altitude performance and endurance expeditions. Her pursuits extend across some of the most extreme environments on Earth, from high-altitude mountaineering to polar expeditions, combining technical climbing with long-distance running.
She is the first Colombian woman to complete the Seven Summits and the first Colombian woman to summit Mount Vinson in Antarctica (2022). In 2025, she became the first Colombian to summit Mount Lhotse, the fourth highest mountain in the world, after climbing Mount Everest (24 May 2025) and Mount Lhotse (25 May 2025) in a single expedition.
She is the first and only colombian known to have completed the Everest-Lhotse double ascent, finishing it in 28 hours.
Her approach is grounded in endurance, discipline, and exploration, developed through expeditions in remote and unpredictable conditions.
Shaped by the mountains, she approaches every challenge with precision, resilience, and the ability to adapt under pressure.
Her achievements position her among the leading Colombian athletes in high altitude and endurance expeditions and within a select group of mountaineers operating in the world´s highest peaks.
Not defined by a single result, but by the consistency to return to harder environments, bigger objectives, and the unknown.
